In 2014, Doug Weir brought together a small group of highly talented senior people who had diverse talents but a common vision: the belief that the waves of change that we are seeing have created new needs and opportunities that traditional approaches are failing to adequately address.
CEO and Founder Doug Weir’s passion is technology-enabled innovation. Known as Canada’s “CIO Recruiter”, Doug has worked with thousands of executives across Canada for over 40 years. While doing so he built a global network of senior technology leaders and became a student of the qualities required to successfully lead meaningful change. He watched as the pace of change picked up, and waves of big data, mobile apps, and cloud-based solutions made it ever easier to deliver but widened the divide between IT and the business. Deceptively simple solutions became white elephants and the failure rate of change initiatives increased instead of shrinking.
Where many have failed, others are succeeding, and new business and organizational models have emerged that incorporate the flexibility, agility, and speed needed to thrive in the information age. Talent gaps are now filled with interim advisors, consultants, and external solution partners as often as they are with permanent employees. Talent and the associated need for the right culture and rewards have never been more important in a world where finding and managing the right partners has become as important as managing employees.
